Privacy & Your Information

Grace Circle is a welcoming community for faith, learning, prayer, and encouragement. Because community discussions are shared with other members, they are not confidential counseling communications. We encourage everyone to share thoughtfully and respect one another's privacy.

Information used to provide your membership

We store your membership email, a protected password hash rather than your plain-text password, subscription identifiers and status, and sign-in sessions. We also keep records used to protect sign-in and password recovery. Stripe processes payments; this website does not store your full payment card details. Password-reset emails are sent through Resend. Cloudflare hosts the website and membership database.

Member encouragement emails

Active Grace Circle members receive weekly encouragement, Scripture reading invitations, and reminders about classes, wellness reflections, and community. You can unsubscribe using the link in any encouragement email. Unsubscribing does not cancel your membership or stop essential account and password-reset emails.

We use Resend to send these messages and keep email preferences and delivery records in our Cloudflare database. A confirmed paid signup also sends a private notification to the community administrator. We do not include private community conversations, prayer requests, or health information in these emails.

What other members can see

Active Grace Circle members can see your saved display name, profile photograph, preset avatar or initials, biography, and interests. Your messages, discussion replies, and prayer requests are shared in their community conversation areas, together with your display name and posting time. These spaces are shared with members, not private conversations with selected recipients.

There are no separate visibility switches for your picture, biography, interests, messages, or prayer requests. You may leave your biography and interests blank, clear them and save your profile, or choose an avatar or initials instead of a photograph. A display name is required to save a profile. Please include only information you are comfortable sharing.

The directory does not display your account email address, billing information, password, or private account records. If you type personal information into your profile or a message yourself, however, other members can see it. Members may save, screenshot, or copy shared information; editing or removing it here cannot remove copies they have already made. Please ask permission before sharing someone else's private information.

Community concerns

When you report a message, we store your account identifier, the reported message and its author, the conversation area, your reason, and any recorded review outcome for the site team. Reports are not displayed to other members. The stored report includes a copy of the message that can remain even after the original is deleted. Reports require review by the site team; they are not an emergency service or a promise of immediate response.

Cookies and reading services

A secure sign-in cookie helps keep you signed in. Your session ends after one hour without activity, and you will need to sign in again. Background page updates do not keep your session active. Completion marks for the 52 weekly wellness prompts are saved in that browser, not to your member account. They may remain after you sign out and may be visible to another member using the same browser on a shared device. They will not automatically appear on another browser or device. You can reset them on the Wellness page; clearing this website's browser storage also removes them.

Class and weekly lesson completion work differently: those acknowledgments are saved to your member account. They can follow you across devices when you sign in, and remain stored if you cancel and later rejoin with the same account.

Google Fonts and the Scripture reading service, bible-api.com, receive connection information such as your IP address when your browser requests their content. External Scripture reading links open other websites with their own privacy practices.

Profile pictures

Your photograph is cropped in your browser before upload. We store the small cropped picture, not the original photograph, and remove embedded metadata from the uploaded image. Uploaded profile photographs are available through member-only access. Preset avatar artwork is a public website asset; your selected picture or initials appear with your community profile.

To change or remove a photograph, choose a new picture, a preset avatar, or initials and save your profile. Choosing Remove alone does not save the change. Once saved successfully, the new choice replaces the photograph in the current profile-picture record. Other members may still have their own copies.

Your choices

You can edit your display name, biography, and interests and save the changes. You can also delete your own community messages, including replies and prayer requests. Deletion removes the original message from the current conversation; other members' replies remain. A previously submitted report may still contain a copy, and deletion cannot recall screenshots or other copies.

There is no self-service button to delete an entire profile or account. For profile removal, account deletion, access or correction requests, or questions about retained information, email [email protected]. We may need to verify account ownership before acting and clarify what can be removed and what needs to remain.

Canceling membership does not delete your account, profile, class progress, or earlier posts. When membership is no longer active, member access ends and your profile is excluded from the active-member directory. Earlier messages and prayer requests can remain visible to active members. Contact us if you would like help with removal after your access ends.

Account deletion and subscription cancellation are separate requests. Editing or removing a profile, picture, or message does not cancel a subscription, and an account-deletion request should not be treated as cancellation confirmation. Visit billing and cancellation, or contact us for help confirming your cancellation and its effective date.

Some information may need to be retained for legitimate billing, security, or moderation purposes, including payment-related records, sign-in safeguards, and reported-message evidence. Backups and service-provider records may also retain information separately from the current website records. There is no automatic account or moderation-report deletion schedule implemented on this website. We do not promise a fixed retention period or immediate removal of every copy; please contact us to discuss your request.

Contacting us

For your privacy, please avoid sending sensitive health information through ordinary email. If you're interested in professional counseling, contact us to learn about the appropriate confidential intake process.

Please also leave passwords, payment card details, and other people's private information out of email inquiries. An inquiry does not confirm an appointment. Grace Circle membership does not include licensed counseling services or establish a therapist-client relationship.
